Path of Exile 2 features regular campaigns within each act, burying the game’s main storyline. By exploring these campaigns, you can uncover hidden stories and earn PoE2 currency early in the game.
Since the game is still in early access, Interludes were introduced with the release of Patch 0.3.0. These temporary, non-linear side stories offer additional story paths through new areas and bosses before the full game release.
While these Interludes will be removed after PoE 2’s official release, at least you can still play them for now to unlock more boss fights and available buffs, giving you more crafting possibilities for your builds.
Below is a list of all the bosses you might encounter in The Third Edict Interludes.
Interludes In Patch 0.3.0 Overview
Three new Interludes have been added, accessible after completing Acts 1-4. Think of them as a temporary alternative to replaying the main campaign.
If you haven’t yet completed your character leveling, you can continue leveling or farming PoE 2 currency in new scenarios by playing Interludes, avoiding the need to replay completed campaign content and adding a fresh feel to your journey through The Third Edict.
Interludes 1-3 offer a total of 19 new areas and 14 bosses, along with their associated new challenges. The six permanent buffs available are distributed unevenly across Interludes, requiring you to travel to specific locations and complete their requirements to obtain them.
Of these 14 bosses, 12 are brand new, but that doesn’t mean you should neglect the other two. Defeating them all and completing Interludes requires ample playtime and powerful gear.
If you don’t have reliable gear or enough currency right now, visiting POECURRENCY.com for additional options is a more efficient option. You can also learn more about Patch 0.3.0 here if needed!
1. Isolde And Heldra
Travel to Scorched Farmlands zone for a chance to unlock this boss fight, but be sure to make sure your gear has physical, fire, or chaos resistance before starting the fight, as the boss deals these types of damage. Its abilities include:
- Isolde: Feeding Frenzy, Rotting Chill, Frost Swell
- Heldra: Infernal Corridor, Fireball, Flamethrower, Greater Bone Spike, Flame Wall
If you don’t have any, you can farm more new gear or buy PoE 2 currency for the relevant affixes on your existing gear rolls. While this is a bit more laborious, it will help you survive the fight better.
2. Siora, Blade Of The Mists
This boss’s regular attack is a scythe slash that deals lightning and physical damage. You can avoid it by paying attention to its movements. However, to deal with its unique abilities, you must ensure you have sufficient armor resistance.
- Galvanic Reap
- Charged Whirlwind
- Raise Shade
- Dark Mist
- Lightning Storm
3. Sigbert And Godwin

- Chaos Storm
Thane Wulfric:

7. Akthi And Anundr
This is also a two-boss fight. Therefore, you’ll need to develop different strategies depending on the stage and the boss.

9. Azmadi, The Faridun Prince
This boss at Qimah Reservoir primarily deals physical damage, using different attacks and skills in two phases.

Phase 2 – Can throw more swords, and lunging is replaced with a teleporting sword thrust:
- Temporal Sunder
- Mirage Charge
- Wind Slash Combo
- Temporal Slash
- Clockwork Rend
10. Lythara, The Wayward Spear
This is perhaps the toughest of all Interlude bosses. She deals damage across five types: physical, fire, cold, lightning, and chaos! Since you can’t guarantee your gear will cover all resistances, you’ll need to choose your gear carefully.
Alternatively, you can add new affixes to existing gear by consuming PoE 2 Exalted Orbs. While this approach introduces a high degree of randomness, it’s easier than collecting different types of gear.
This boss’s special abilities include:
- Serpent’s Bite
- Thunder Spear
- Lunge
- Toxic Spray
- Wildwood Wisps
The last ability is important to note. When Lythara loses health, this ability summons different colors of Azmeri wisps, each granting different buffs to the boss. You should keep them away from the boss as much as possible.
11. The Abominable Yeti
This is another boss that deals physical and cold damage primarily, found in Howling Caves. Its attacks and abilities are relatively easy to avoid, making it a relatively easy opponent if you master the techniques.
- Slam
- Tumble
- Sunder
12. Rakkar, The Frozen Talon
This boss appears while exploring Heart of the Tribe zone. It primarily deals physical and cold damage, with its basic attacks primarily using its wings. Its boss abilities include:
- Ice Shard
- Frozen Slam
- Wind Burst
- Snowball
- Falling Icicle
- Ice Block
13. Stormgore, The Guardian
You can find this boss in Etched Ravine zone. Ensure your gear has sufficient physical and lightning resistance. In addition to its signature abilities, Stormgore will alternate between swing, shove, and overhead slam attacks during combat.
- Enraged Slam
- Lightning Imbue
- Plasma Jet
- Thunderous Rend
- Charge Automaton
14. Zelina And Zolin

- Blood Dash
- Flurry
- Ravaging Claw
- Bloody Flicker Strike
We hope this boss guide will help you upgrade in Interludes successfully and quickly enter the endgame for more challenges! Have fun!
